FIVE STEPS TO HAPPINESS: LEARNING TO EXPLORE AND UNDERSTAND YOUR EMOTIONAL MIND

Five Steps To Happiness is primarily written for people who suffer from panic attacks, anxiety and depression. Throughout the book readers meet numerous people who have come to Enda Murphy for help with such issues and can identify and be encouraged by their journeys. However, it also proves essential reading for anybody interested in why such conditions occur: families and loved ones of those suffering from them; and therapists and health professionals who have an interest in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
There is a temptation to jump straight into the five habits – which Murphy doesn’t discourage! – but the supporting chapters on a wide range of mental health problems help bring understanding and clarity to why we feel what we do and how we go from mental health to mental ill-health, and back again.
Enda Murphy realises that translating complex theory into something that is accessible for the ordinary person is extremely difficult and so he uses his tried and tested method of story-telling, enabling people to relate and identify and so come to a place of understanding.

    Chinese Summary/
