About the Author/作者介绍： Sandra Dallas在丹佛大學畢業後，在美國《商業週刊》（BusinessWeek）擔任記者，並在《商業週刊》工作超過25年，該雜誌第一位女性區域主管。
《Prayers for Sale》是她的第八本小說。曾被《Vogue》雜誌譽為”美國最經典的代表之一”。作品常探究忠誠、友誼與人類尊嚴等主題，曾翻譯超過12國語言。小說作品《New Mercies》曾獲West Willa Award，兩次以《The Chili Queen》與《Tallgrass》獲得America Spur Award。除此之外曾入圍科羅拉多圖書獎、Mountain and Plains Booksellers Assn. Award與四次West Willa Award決選。
著有10本非小說，《Sacred Paint》曾獲National Cowboy Hall of Fame Western Heritage Wrangler Award，《The Quilt That Walked to Golden》獲獨立書商所頒發的美國富蘭克林獎（Benjamin Franklin Award）。
