About the Author/作者介绍： 迈克尔·M.伍夫森（Michael M. Woolfson 1927-2019），英国物理学家和行星科学家。1961-1965年在曼彻斯特理工大学任高级讲师，1982-1987年在约克大学任物理系主任。在1984年成为英国皇家学会会员，同时担任皇家天文学会和英国物理学会会员。活跃于研究和科学写作近70年，发表了大量数学和天体物理学等主题的作品。
